In 1999, we moved to Venice,Florida, from Boardman, Ohio, and a new art career began.
Creative diversity defined my early years of juggling family life and working. I worked for myself for many years creating businesses, so use my creativity while raising my family. When I sold 'Wigglyjig', a children's store that sold clothing creative toys and learning tools, I returned to college, Youngstown State University, (OH) to earn a BFA and BS in education. For a short time I taught art in the Youngstown City Schools.
Through my many years of creating, I have explored many mediums, loving each, while experimenting with different ways of expressing my inner vision. For the past twenty years, art shows and festivals have been the venue for selling my artwork, traveling throughout Florida and other Eastern States.
Art Festivals led to discovering public art calls which opened new doors available to share my work. The Public Art Places where my work is included in includes: Boynton Beach, FL, Raleigh, NC, St.Helena Island, SC, Charlotte County, FL, Tallahassee, FL, Venice, FL, Sarasota, FL, and Orlando, FL.
Community Art is another arena I've participated in, which encompasses mosaic, Painting, Sculpture and Mixed Media. Some of the recipients include The Venice Art Center and The Southeastern Guide Dog Organization.
The Marietta Museum of Whimsy in Sarasota, Fl, St. Helena Library in St.Helena Island, SC, the Villa Serena in Bradenton Florida, and Unity of Venice own pieces of my work.
My artwork, paintings, sculpture and mixed media has been purchased by collectors throughout the country and has been represented in galleries in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Arizona, and California.
I teach classes at the Venice Art Center and also in my Venice, Florida Studio. Send questions regarding classes via the contact page of this website.
